Wednesday, 27th September, 2023, The Minister of Finance and Chairman of the National Anti-money Laundering Committee (NAMLC) chaired monthly NAMLC meetings.
The meeting focused on enforcing the transaction limitations imposed by the committee in its previous meeting on the mobile money sector, updates on the mutual evaluation and progress made on the rollout of the national identification, and the expected number of IDs to be printed this year by NIRA.

In addition to the NAMLC members, NIRA and NCA representatives also attended the meeting to brief the Committee on regulating the mobile money sector and ID registration process.
